It is always said that there are two ways to get your work done – first, the easy and the short cut method, and second, the long and difficult method. The former requires you to do nothing but steal, rob and mug to achieve your targets. The second requires you to work day in day out to become the kind of an individual you want to become and earn what you wish to earn.
There are a lot of people out there who would choose the easy way out because that gives them easy money without any hard work. But they do not realize that it is not a long term solution. Then there are entrepreneurs, who work without stopping and turn every opportunity into success.
Divert energy in productive direction
When you hear both these instances, you will question the fact that why do people spend time in stealing and mugging you, when they can divert all that energy into a productive direction, and maybe start a business, for a long term gain?
As an entrepreneur who has been mugged a few times and who is surrounded by various forms of such muggers, at this juncture I end up asking the person why and finally I give him some good business advice to implement. And trust me, I have seen a few turn their fortunes by using my suggestions.
Here are some reasons as to why you must start your own business:
You control your fate
Yes! You heard me right. You decide everything that can make or break the deal. You seal the fate. But that does not really happen when you wish to earn the easier way. When you are an entrepreneur, you are the sole decision making authority of your business. You take your organization in the direction you want it to go in. you drive like a boss. So there is no turning back.
You find the ideal life and work equilibrium
Many people complain of becoming workaholics. But they realize the fact that entrepreneurs live a lifestyle that is highly satisfying. The learning curve is steep and you learn so much that you always find ways to experiment. People who are thirsty to learn will know exactly what I am talking about.
You decide on the risk factors
The riskier the venture, the greater the gains. We have all heard this. But once you work as an entrepreneur, you will realize the true meaning of this statement. Of course, without going behind bars for your decisions.
You get an opportunity to challenge yourself and raise your bars
There is no better way to do this than by following your passion and living your dreams. That is exactly what an entrepreneur does. You run a relay race alone and win alone. But, at the same time, you command, delegate and learn.
These are a few pointers as to why the longer route is a better route you must opt for. It is that path that teaches you so much that you will never look back. That is what entrepreneurship is all about. It is about practicing what you preach and that too with utmost diligence and sincerity.
