
Getting the best output from your employees
Discipline, methodology and following the drill are important aspects of the corporate bandwagon and the employees sticking to these keywords do deserve praise and the occasional hike in their pay-cheques. These, however, do not ensure that you are getting the best output from your employees.
The environment should be friendly in your office. It is the caring attitude of the employer, the occasional humour, the boosting up of the confidence level and the feeling of dependency that matter a lot in gaining confidence of the employees. Once your employees know that the top management cares for them, would be beside them in the times of trouble – they will automatically give their best output.
Let your employees grow with you
You must understand this very clearly. Your organization can grow only if the employees grow. It is the collective work of the team that makes an organization move on to the next level. Individual efforts are no doubt important but after all, it is the team work that makes things happen in the long run.
Those who are putting individual efforts must be apprised, but the team should be lauded for every success. This lifts up the morale of the team and encourages others to perform and lift themselves up to the next level. I would suggest that in-house parties or outing may be organized to celebrate success stories. These little get-togethers can be successfully transformed to better performances in the future days.
Do encourage those employees who are smart
Brilliant minds have to start their work somewhere. It is often observed that a smart employee, through his or her individual skill, approach and tenacity may bring about a change. Do encourage them. If his or her idea is better than yours, do not let it clash with your ego. Take their ideas and laud them so that they can do something even better. After all, their smartness is resulting in growth for your company.
Smart employees are assets, not threat
You need to be beside the employees who are smart and encourage them. You also need to help them out in times of their need so that the comfortability factor is felt at the highest level. Do not spoil them but make them feel the warmth of closeness. It is necessary for the growth of your organization that the smart employees stay with you, fight together during the time of tension and help you win.
It is always a win-win situation
With the brains to back you up, it is always a win-win situation for you. Their success will result to your growth and their comfortability level in your organization will result in the growth of a proper team and proper work delegation. All you need to do is create a family of workers and share the success with your team.
