Broaden the horizon of your inspiration

You don’t always have to feel inspired by huge ideas, big celebrities, and large than life innovations. Sometimes, you can find it in places where you least expected it. Shonda Rhimes, the producer of the hit show ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ felt inspired to create this show when she heard one of her doctor friends complain about how she could not shave her legs in hospital bathrooms.

Don’t be surprised if your next door neighbor ends-up inspiring you. Don’t be afraid to look for it. If you have the eye for it, you can find inspiration anywhere!

Originality is not always about creating what has never been thought –

Often when people think of an original idea, they think of creating the unthinkable; something that nobody has ever thought of before. But, originality is not really about creating something that is beyond comprehension. If you can think about ways to improve an already existing product or service – that’s just as good. That is also counted as originality.

If you can introduce something mainstream with a little twist to it; that may have h potential to change the game of your business.

Think with the solution-oriented approach

Think about the pain points of the people. What problems are they dealing with? If you can recognize the problems, you can work on finding their solutions. But, it has to first begin by identifying the pain points.

Therefore, if you come to think of it, the key to originality is not creativity – it’s research. The more you study, the more research, the better you become at understanding the impulses of people.

Be more observant

There’s an incredible saying that goes like ‘successful people are not lucky; they just happen to be more observant’. If you really have a mind-set to think outside the box, you will automatically become more observant. You start looking for newness even in the middle of clichés.

You become better at recognizing a disguised opportunity. This is a great tip for entrepreneurs to be more creative. Look at things from new perspective. Observe things closely. Think about how things can be improved and lastly don’t be afraid to break the convention.
